The goal is emergent, the mountain growing with every foothold found, the moment more fleeting under closer notice. We can love like the Sun, because we are one, and day or night we're no less bright - just shine, my friends. Just Shine.

Most of the horse's jokes wouldn't make you laugh
Blue drop scatter to the left and fleeting – slowly fading in yield to their unwitting return to the be-yourself being, the being you’ve always been since now’s been now. History ascribes the deeds of men to the spin of consciousness, and where the hammer is unwilling, the man serving purpose takes it in hand. We could have buried our light forever, but we keep shaking the bottle. When it leaps from its tiptoe on the threshold, the light will burst and harvest the language of the stars from minds unpoisoned enough to bear fruit.

Maybe it's that the aliens don't believe in us
Find me in a gallery, where, written in glittered glue, jokes of the universe spin on notebook paper. Be at one with the time, the now, when you see it, and right now. The days themselves can’t wait to end. A gentle cough from the galaxy will let us see the stars again. The One in everyone will see itself once more. The laugh will sound new, but only because it was too old to remember.

Letter to Emergent Culture regarding a Resource Based Economy
This is an email for which I am awaiting response. It is the first time I've outlined in my own words my understanding of the Venus Project. Not complete in its conveyance, but there's no misplaced word, either. The message is addressed to the caretaker of http://emergent-culture.com/, who has this to say about Zeitgeist: Moving Forward:
"The first hour and half or so is SPOT ON, but the last part on the Venus Project pitch is weak. The Venus Project is just bad and totally unrealistic design. The psycho-social-cultural dynamics discussed in the movie are accurate and well done compared to previous Zeitgeist presentations."
More information is available at
or google "Resource Based Economy"
Greetings -
I'm happy to learn that you enjoyed the first two parts of Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, and, as a Zeitgeist Movement advocate, obviously disappointed that you were turned off by the latter portion. We could discuss how we define good and bad design or what is feasible given the present state of technology, but the wind doesn't need our help to keep blowing.
What I would like to clarify is that the Venus Project and the Resource Based Economy concept are not designs in and of themselves. Designs have been created for illustrative purposes, but the true nature of this movement is the process, the method. It is about the thinking that precedes the design, with innovation, creativity, and collaboration unbridled. Arriving at solutions to relevant problems in a completely transparent and inclusive way. How can we produce whole, nutritious food enough for the world's population with minimal environmental impact? How can we travel faster and with less energy consumption than we do in cars and airplanes? What energy systems can we implement that can operate without a monthly bill or any blackouts? If there is any purpose to human existence at all (another conversation that can be quit but never concluded), it must be in the spirit of improving the Earth rather than destroying it. On this, I'm sure we agree.
We probably agree on many things, if the name of your website is any indication of your style of thinking. But this is not meant to be a debate, just a little clarification. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were downing. If it's still not your flavor, very well. I have no idea what the new world will look like, all I can say is that I hope I meet you there sometime. :)
In lak'ech,
Ryan Bain
